The New .... ?

Tonight we had the inaugural meeting of the new musical project I've been planning for a while. As you can see, it's not exactly a small band with eight members but it's a lot smaller than the Bishopsteignton Commitments which will continue to run alongside. We had some drinks and picky bits which were all provided by Jim, whose house we met at. It's a slightly late celebration of his birthday.

We've got a dozen or so songs planned for rehearsal and we'll do some work in subgroups which will come together for rehearsal. The rhythm section can do some work on their parts, the singers can work out theirs and we'll get together and try it all out. There'll be some absences for holidays first though.

The only thing we couldn't agree on was a name. I'd got what I thought was a great idea but it seemed that I was in a minority of one. Ah well, a genius can't expect to be fully appreciated in his lifetime! They did agree that I'd come up with a great selection of songs to do.
