The Summer Isles
We went to Ullapool this afternoon. Ullapool is 54 miles from where we live on the Black Isle in Easter Ross. So it doesn't take long to get to the west coast.
This picture was taken from the penninsular of land that sticks out into the sea.
I'm looking west up Loch Broom, which is a sea loch, and on to The Summer Isles and the Minch. The Minch is the inner sea that devides The Isles of Lewis and Harris from the north west coast of the mainland of Scotland. It was a nice day for a run too, a bit crisp, but dry and sunny.
