Homes of the past and the future
Tower Court was 2 separate council blocks, housing 67 families in total. They were built in the early 60s and, as discovered on our North London trip, demolished in the last couple of years. The lower photo indicates how many homes will be built on the plot - 52 for rent or shared ownership, 80 for outright sale. So fewer affordable homes and, I imagine, most of total much smaller than the original spacious 1960s style flats.
It is strange to find that buildings that we saw being built and thought of as really nice....they had some maisonettes with open plan stairs...how posh is that!
Forgive the backblip!
Back to the dentist today as I was getting worried about the continuing pain. However I was reassured that all is healing apart from a nearby tooth that needed a bit of smoothing. The dentist recommended a different kind of mouthrinse and to use ibuprofen as my pain reliever as both also reduce inflammation.
