Villefranche-sur-Mere

Today we walked from Nice to Villefranche-sur-Mere, about 6km along the coast. Unfortunately the coastal path was closed in parts for repairs, so we walked more than we would have liked on the road.

It did mean that we passed this memorial to Princess Grace of Monaco. Not at the crash site, but a warning to drivers and motorcyclists, nevertheless.

Villefranche is much smaller and quieter than Nice, and has a sandy beach. We had a wander, a drink and bite to eat, followed by more wandering and a bus ride back to Nice.
