Project 366 - Day 292 - Fun of the Fair

Today the Fair was in town, so Nana took us for our annual trip to the fun of the fair!!
The kids loved this ride, I had the camera set up completely wrong to capture the essence of the ride whirring around. Having just taken a subscription to Photoshop Creative Magazine I decided to follow a few tips from one of the tutorials to create some motion Blur.

This is what I did to the original as well as cropping slightly to lose the wall.

Background Layer Duplicated
Motion Blur added at 0 degress 274 px
Layer Mask reveal all 80% foreground colour black
Soft Brush used to put the kids in the plane back in focus
Vivid Light for layer type selected.

I am pleased with the result but am sure with more practice and learning new things that photoshop can do I will revisit this photo ... any tips or constructive criticism greatly appreciated!
