Silkie

We unexpectedly went to visit my brother (not)-in law who has a smallholding and a lively range of birds and animals. We were dressed to go out for a meal, but thankfully, wellies and coats were available. This is one of his Silkies, so aptly named. They also have a collection of beautiful runner ducks, but they had a habit of well, running, so I didn't get a good picture of them. I did come away thinking I MUST get some ducks! They also have a huge rabbit which make our two look positively diminutive. Seriously, this rabbit is larger than their (many) Jack Russels!
Much fun was had squelching about in the mud visiting the horses and the turkeys who are quite the ugliest birds!
