I went to La Gacilly as planned on Sunday afternoon. As happens every year (this was my fifth in a row), I came back with one prominent name - or rather two, as they work as a couple: Shana and Robert Parke Harrison! It's two of their photos you can see beyond the family on this photo. Their dog didn't seem interested...

Their (the photographers') work is often about nature and the planet, but in a very surrealist sort of way, as the photos in their online gallery will show you. The examples shown in La Gacilly were a case in point. Their work reminds me of cinematographers such as the Brothers Quay or Caro&Jeunet. Quite fortunately for my wallet, no book of theirs was available in the bookshop! :-) However, I will be looking for them now... :-D
