Fire & Rescue Service, Aussie style

We had a small (something of nothing) visit from the “firies” today. It was a bit overdramatic, they had their sirens on. Just a bit of overenthusiastic cooking. It was all rather random. But here is a lovely picture of an Australian fire engine.

In Australia they nickname EVERYTHING. So firefighters are firies. Paramedics are ambos. Trades people are tradies, bricklayers are brickies, and a carpenter is a chippy. They’re obsessed with them!
