Lichens

The leaves on the Viburnum plicatum are beginning to open. Soon the wonderful lichens it hosts will be hidden. I thought I’d better photograph them while they are available.

It may be spring now, but as I’d feared, September has brought the wintry weather. The snow was down to the foothills, but the mountains stayed out of sight.
