Roche Rock

Day 1 of Cornwall hols, pretty overcast. We gaff a mooch round Par market and then off to a disappointing lunch back in Roche (everything in the carvery was brown).

But before went back to our little home for the week I wanted to search out Roche rock. We drove for a bit, hoping a great slab of haunted rock with a decaying chapel on the to wouldn't be too taxing to find.

We passed a pub and turned down a country lane and there it was next to us. Every bit as creepy as imagined. There were people climbing on it. My imagination killed them off pretty quick.

Of course I Googled it. It had been a hermitage for a leper in some C15th game of thrones tale. There were stories of dark figures seen moving around the rocks.

And The Omen was filmed there.

Home rather quick after that and straight in the hot tub to relax.
