Silly Sunday Blue Jay Family
This was going to be a Silly Saturday blip, but until today (Sunday) I could not find the cord to plug the camera into the computer for me to load the picture.
This is taken through the window screen just in front of the feeding tray. The youngest Jays from this spring still have such skinny necks compared to their parent.
There are actually four Jays at this window feeding tray, but one kept out of the frame. The young Jays were born here last spring. The family gets along together when gobbling up black sunflower seeds without chewing-- breaking the shells. They are MOST noisy when the tray is empty and they feel I need to be informed very loudly.
It was only when a few doves tried landing on them did they consider moving.
I have noticed that the ringneck doves are quite belligerent to everyone -- even their own.
