Whickham mill.

This is Chase Park, Whickham near the Metro Centre, Gateshead where the remains of a windmill built in 1567 still stands. Everyone in Whickham had to have their corn ground at the "Lord's" mill. The Lord was the Bishop of Durham. The miller received part of the corn in payment. The mill was ruined when the Scots invaded in 1640.
