Mummy spider

Sorry to keep on the spider theme again... I did take lots of other pics, but none really excited me at all... flowers, donkeys, other spiders etc.

I was looking at these native iris seed pods with a view to photographing them (they always look a bit pre-historic to me) and spotted this spider protectively guarding her egg sac, so got them both in the one shot. She looks very prickly and like yesterdays, was watching me very carefully and never left her eggs.

A nice day after a rather wet start.
