Fat for Fathers Day

Is this a father? I have no idea. Anyway he/she and several others were busy feeding on the fat so I got a little closer this time.
We had an unexpected family day. We got invited out for leftovers for lunch.
A nephew who does the odd catering job had cooked up a storm yesterday for the womens rugby game in town yesterday. They weren't big eaters and the workers he would normally give it to have gone home to the islands so we were next in line. It was a good catch up with several family members we don't get to see too often. We came home with tea as well.
I was busy cooking up soup and marmalade when we got the call but dropped that and finished it off on our return.
I did get a walk in as the rain which persisted most of the morning cleared long enough to do that.
