We had a prayer meeting at Rawsonville Hall to pray for rain, followed by a bonfire and barbecue. It was great fun with friends old and new, and a lively band, “Endless Praise” singing and playing. I’m sure I look goofy dancing but bounced around anyway.
We learned that Rawsonville got its name from Admiral Sir Harry Rawson, then Governor of NSW, who visited in 1903, and was the first Admiral to “embark upon the waters of the Macquarie River”.
