De La Warr Pavilion

What a most luverly day! I had started to think that that was it for summer but it surprised us today and it was very welcome.

We hopped on the bikes and cycled first to Bexhill on Sea (a very fine place Mr OTP) then on to Hastings. Hastings was very lively and I think it has had a big upgrade since we last went there. The pier is a big open space at one end, perfect for events. The town was full of history and colour. We would dearly liked to have seen a talk by Martin Parr but he was completely sold out.

We headed back to our campsite via Bexhill again and stopped to listen to an excellent folk band singing hey nonny no and getting your feet tapping.

The cycle route was from Pevensey to Hastings was very interesting too! What a great day.
