Off to Worthing today....

.....including a look round the wonderful museum.  Above is the exhibit on the record of the lifeboats in years gone by. Worthing, amongst other coastal resorts, was also known for the (alleged) health-giving properties of sea-bathing or, for the more reluctant, sea-dunking. Hotels sprang up to cater for this trend - see extra. Perhaps the more infirm were allowed an indoor bath instead!

 There's also a very amusing spoof exhibition.
