Gladiolus in September

A dull but dry day

Apparently this is the first day of Autumn according to the meteorologists although I would prefer to think that Summer will go on until the Autumn Equinox on 23rd September. In our garden, the roses are in full bloom, the sunflowers are sunny and the gladioli are looking delicate and colourful.

Donations keep coming in for our Kiltwalk challenge we completed a couple of weeks ago and, as a family, we have raised almost £3,000 for our charity, Children's Hospices Across Scotland. This will be raised to £4,200 with the Tom Hunter Foundation's very generous uplift of 40%.
