Arrived in Longyearbyen in Svalbard after a 3.5 hour flight north of Oslo.

Remote, cold, dramatic and fascinating. However, such a warm welcoming place!

We visited Huset for dinner last night, a 25 minute walk to the edge of town to a very plain building but as soon as we got inside and peeled off all our outer layers, it was cosy, candlelit with the scents of vanilla & cinnamon ... and the food was delicious.

Our most northern dinner ever!
