Labor Day Surf

Perfect waves today, and in the water over three hours. I passed up several nice waves to watch gray whales feeding anywhere from 1/4 mile away to 100 yards. The whole setting, with massive whales and an even more massive ocean, makes me feel a part of it all. Blessed today. Last picture: Paying homage to the brewmaster/surf king, my buddy John, who last week surrendered to a climb up Mt. Fuji only because of a typhoon, here pouring us one of his home brewed Pale Ales. Tradition, to celebrate the day with one of his ales. What a day.
