Safety cover for the River Ness Raft Race went well, helped by everyone staying on their rafts. And we also successfully collected all of the 2,000 Wee (plastic) Nessies that were tossed in the river - no losses to the sea, as in an infamous previous year, when it was little yellow ducks. Those were being found all around the coast of Scotland for years afterwards. The organisers learnt an important lesson about choosing the date to coincide with high tide, rather than low tide, from that loss.

No problems being out in the kayak, for the first time in over a year. Had been worried about my back giving issues, but it was fine. We all had great fun, and I thoroughly enjoyed it, despite the cool and very wet day. A good day to go and get wet on the water, when it's also pouring from above.
