Peach-y chillis

Dougie 2 (electrician recommended by Dougie 1, who apparently retired four years ago!) came round and investigated the immersion heater - thermostat definitely kaput - and then tried to figure out what is going on with the white meter (off-peak supply). Seems to be available all day, although it's supposedly controlled by a sealed time-clock in the meter cupboard. Oo-er. Anyhoo, he replaced the thermostat and it's working fine.

Cleaned one of the windows in celebration, listened to the Rite of Spring, and made another experimental sourdough loaf - think they're getting better.....

Edit: ...and commenced the great windowsill chilli harvest.
