Sinterklaas is coming to town

I saw Saint Nicolas today!

(AKA Sinterklaas in Holland). He arrived from Spain by steam boat with his helpers - Black Petes (Zwarte Pieten) on his horse.

It was so nice to see - there were children lining the streets and the black petes were running round giving them all sweets. I used to be terrified of Zwarte Piet!! It was strange reliving it all.

And something else relived today was The Sound of Music - today was the first time i've watched it in years :)
