Today's the day ……………………….. to get a card

We had a lovely card in the post today - an original piece of art by Nell - and it absolutely made our day.

Nell had come here to stay, with her parents, on that weekend at the beginning of August.  It was a reunion of the gang who had all been students at Aberdeen back in the 70s on the MSc Ecology course.  They were all such good fun to be with and we had a great time with them.  Nell, who is normally based in Singapore, was home for a few days and so she came too.  The painting on the card is of a globe artichoke that was in flower in the garden at the time.

The card is to say thanks for our hospitality - but quite frankly, the pleasure was all ours.  It was great to have you here, Nell - and we hope we'll see you again before too long ……………………..
