Painted Lady

Perfect conditions up on the South Downs this morning. Dozens of Small Heath were flying around  - I think a third brood might have emerged - but my eye was caught by a solitary Painted Lady. Always nice to this species as it migrates northwards from Morocco until the shortening days trigger a U-turn.
