Ice Bubbles

Just come back from a walk on our local heath, and took lots of photos of the patterns made by the ice in the puddles. I have never seen bubbles of ice before, but maybe I just haven't been looking. Can't think what made the bubbles in the first place - maybe some gas escaping out of the boggy ground...
