Shelter from the rain

I had a lovely walk in the rain - yes, the rain!  Unfortunately it only rained, and not heavily, for about an hour, and it's cleared up again.  I ran into our emergency pod leader and we talked about how we've dodged a bullet with wildfires.  Yesterday, there was another brush fire not far from our place that fortunately was contained quite quickly.  That's the third recently that's far too close to home.  Thank goodness for the quick response from the firemen and forestry guys.  Friends up north have not been as lucky.  :(
Worst wildfire season on record in BC
Kalyn and team made it home safely from Hawaii on Monday morning and are heading to California this afternoon.  Hopefully they won't be near any wildfires down there.
