Winter daisy
After a cold night ( minus 4.4 ) we had a lovely warm sunny day. This Euryops has a single flower. I have lost the last few to the cold weather so am happy this one has survived. Under frost cover and under the verandah too. It adds a nice splash of colour to the winter garden.
I thought the soil would need an annual dusting of lime but before spreading it I did a soil test. The pH is 9 = very alkaline. No wonder I can’t grow azaleas and camellias. So after some study and a shopping trip i have some Sulphur to add to the soil. I might need to do a few treatments over the next few months.
