He's New To Me!

I camped out by one of the feeders this morning for a bit hoping to get some good shots of the activity swirling around me. To my surprise, this juvenile male Allen's hummingbird came to the feeder. This is the first time I have seen one of these.  I was doing the happy dance when I saw the images on the screen.

I watched more closely throughout the day, thought I saw him again, but I couldn't be positive. I do hope that I get to see him when he is mature.

I am grateful that my patience paid off with this unexpected jewel coming to make my day. He is a little piece of gold in a green world.
