Our host K described Adelaide has having a close to perfect climate. I can see why - given it's supposed to be winter right now.

After working in the morning, we headed out in our borrowed car and visited a winery with Cornish origins (in order to please Mr A). He tasted, I took a couple of sips, and we had lunch sitting out on the terrace. A few bottles were bought... The McLaren Valley was stunning, as was the country drive back to the Adelaide 'burbs where we are staying. I added an extra of the view from lunch.

Back here we kicked back a bit, before I had a swim in the pool. Freezing, but invigorating! Sitting around in the garden in the sunshine revealed a multitude of photographic opportunities. Just before 6pm, after K had got back from work, we headed into the centre of Adelaide to meet some fellow academics for a working dinner. Too much Brazilian food was consumed, but the chat was good, and I managed a reasonable walk from the car to the restaurant. The foot and the leg are still pretty bad, but they are getting gradually better.
