See You Tomorrow!

Two weeks ago during a routine eye exam my doctor discovered a retinal tear in my left eye. I had laser surgery the following morning and today had a follow up visit. This morning's exam was flawless except for the dilation drops which afterwards bothered me until late this afternoon. The sun glare forced me to stay inside where I spent the better part of the day. Captured here is the view after my post afternoon nap, which is a common occurrence regardless of any conditions I might be realizing.

The whole experience has reminded me of what an enormous gift our sight is... and how, like so many other things, I take for granted.
