Ruby-throated Hummingbird ....

I know I just can't seem to shut up regarding the monarch butterflies that we are raising!  But I simply love doing this ... and it increases their odds of survival .... at least in the egg/caterpillar form.  I have added an extra of the three stages of the chrysalis .... from the J-hanging (middle) to pupated (left) through the nearly emerged butterfly (right).  This butterfly emerged shortly after this picture was taken and we will release her tomorrow.
