Escaping the Shoot

The shooters were out on the moors this morning.

As Oscar and I were out walking, a few pheasants were hiding in bushes near the reservoir seemingly trying to escape their fate, although I doubt they have the intelligence to do so.

I just managed to capture this one in flight before the camera battery died - it didn't turn out too badly!

This is possibly one of the very few pheasants that got away - this time!!
