MBO-Qualifying

We are in Manhattan Beach for the next four days to watch the AVP Manhattan Beach Open, the "grandaddy of beach volleyball". Today, more than 100 men's and almost 100 women's teams are trying to qualify for the main tournament which runs Friday through Sunday. This view south of the pier was before we got kicked out of the Club AVP section where we were trying to catch a little shade. A long day on the sand watching, and photographing, a number of teams we recognized from our visit to Colorado. Only one of those teams made it into the main draw, so it was good we were here to see the others before they were knocked out.
