Still going strong...

Dear Diary,

The garden is still doing its level best to put on a good show.  This is my new Joe Pye Weed.  It is a slightly different variety than the other and it blooms later and longer.  The bees are delighted with it as you can see.

It is time, however, to begin cutting back some of the perennials.  John will begin that this week.  The full cut back, "putting the garden to bed" as I call it, will have to wait until I return from my trip.  So much to do!
