No rain in Rye

Today it was grey and cloudy but hasn't rained.

We browsed the antique shops in Rye including a new one located in a warehouse near the river. It had wonderful objects and furniture including some very old and very enormous industrial work benches. I wanted to buy a rusty double metal locker but it wouldn't have gone into ians car. He was pleased about that as he could foresee another unfinished project.

The jazz festival carried on from 1pm and there was a much bigger crowd than yesterday. We listened to a couple of bands and decided to make our way back home. We bought some chips and sat on a bench overlooking the lower town. We know how to do things in style. A wander along the river and then a slow drive home on a motorway with a 50mph limit as there are roadworks, but not a worker on sight.

My blip is of the cobbled street with the champagne bar where we finished our evening yesterday.
