Kirkintilloch Canal Festival

Having wearied of the Edinburgh Fringe, it was time to ring the changes. Kirki !

Wet, very wet. Great fun, everyone did their best but the weather also did it's best to dampen spirits. Still the cafes and bars benefited. A superb BLT bagel was consumed with gusto. Gusto also had a BLT bagel. For a change the tea pots didn't dribble. A surprise meet up with a couple of old work colleagues was a pleasant bonus.

Last year you could hardly move so large the teeming throng, this year it was like half day closing. Incidentally the young lady singing (sadly her name forgotten) was superb, what a voice. I'll do some research and see if she has a presence on spotify.

Can't win them all. Better times next year hopefully, but still glad we went for the fourth year in a row.
