August in Edinburgh

August in Edinburgh is a wonder, really. This city, colloquially known (by Glaswegians at least) for being pious, tight and miserly changes entirely.

Portobello hosted the ninth Big Beach Busk were people of all ages and levels of talent get out on the prom and play their hearts out.

Later on I went into town to see a play and then enjoyed wandering about in the sunshine. Like most places, Edinburgh looks better in light.

I give thanks to live in this glorious city.
