Silly Saturday Splish Splash Shallow Bath Edition

I have to give credit to the Steller's Jays, we have 2 bird baths, one that is deep and one that is shallow. The Steller's Jay couple that has been around for a few years now I think use them as his and hers. One uses the deep one without any issues but the other one won't touch it. It tries very hard as you can tell to get clean in the shallow bath, tossing out 90% of the water in the process. Quite comical I think. I added a picture of a Jay just after it got a drink of water. A great song to go with this picture.

I watched the hummingbirds all day. Up to 5 showed up again for the second time. Even three tried to use the feeder at the same time until a fourth one "knocked" them all off to eat itself. A lovely day of nothingness. 

Tomorrow I'll be going to a local farmers market and see my dad. I wish I could bring him a few of his favorite foods but his health has to take precedence.

A sad note - Rest In Peace John McCain 1936 - 2018. I disagreed  with you many times but you we always graceful, a person that put country before politics a person that will be missed.
