The dropped stitch

Stopped at the southern tip of the island to watch a large ship heading out to sea.

The morning's highlight was seeing a calf, born last night. He and his mother had been brought into the barn, as it was a chilly night, so after reading the meter in the house I asked to have a quick look in at them. The farmer and his brother were pleased with the new arrival. Apparently this particular cow has produced prize winning offspring in the past, so perhaps this will be another winner?

Meal out this evening with D who is leaving shortly to study in Glasgow. She had some interesting and quite shocking stories to tell of her recent flat hunting experiences.
