Salford Quays

Little trip around Salford Quays to occupy the rascals.

Even Bridge Averse No.1 son had to admit the rising bridge and swing bridge over the canal were pretty cool.

We saw the "Bee in the City" bee and silver ship which they'd both recently seen on Blue Peter and there was fun with judging the Gold Badge Walk of Fame. No.1 son was not sure HM Queen Elizabeth II had done enough to warrant a badge.  Then he pretended not to know who Bradley Wiggins was.  Fun times.

In the meantime, I briefly lost no.2 son, who wasn't bothered about any of the Gold Badge Awardees.

No.1 son was reassuring.  Confirming that he was unlikely to have boarded a tram, on the basis that he didn't have a ticket.  

He turned up pretty quickly anyway, which (I'm fairly sure) was a blessing :-)
