The Calendar Girls

Meet Miss January and Miss March. No -- beautiful as they are, they're not appearing in one of those take-it-all-off-for-a-good-cause calendars, but they both had photographs of local landscapes featured in the 2013 WECU (Whatcom Educational Credit Union) calendar.

This was an accidental blipmeet. Cynthia and I had gone to the Whatcom Museum for the opening of an exhibit of California Impressionism paintings, on loan from the Irvine Museum (California). It wasn't surprising that we would run into ArtistAnnie (with her husband Arvin) there. I couldn't resist blipping her and C with their matching clothing and REI bags.

The paintings were wonderful. If you like Impressionist paintings, try to visit one of the Irvine Museum traveling exhibits -- the next one is at the University of New Hampshire, January 26-March 28, 2013. Better yet, make a trip to the museum. It's been added to our wish list of places to go.
