466th Bomb Group USAAF was based here in WWII. Local enthusiasts are keeping the memory alive and staged an Open Day to stimulate enthusiasm and raise funds to establish a visitor centre.

The car is a 1938 Pontiac Eight (cylinder 4 litre engine) Sedan, in running order, much older than the photographer and the car's current lady owner.
