Day 237/18. A sea of sunflowers.

A few days ago I posted an image of a solitary sunflower from our garden.
Quite by chance today we found fields of them at their booming peak. A spectacular sight that is difficult to capture with a single image.
They were being grown with what looked like cabbage (kale?). Anyone know why the two are mixed?
