Growing up

Poor little Mimi looks sad. She has been feeling blue for the last few weeks. We think that it's a mixture of getting a lingering cold and seeing that Mum has to devote a lot more time to the baby brother.
No matter how hard you try, it is unavoidable.
We saw it happening for Luca, it is now happening for her (he has since made a full recovery, thank you for asking).
Any of us who has younger sibblings has been through it.
This cold panicking feeling that perhaps we are not the most special being after all. The feeling that we will try to recapture for the rest of our lives.
Through a fling, partner, spouse, children.
