Silver Lining

I was in town today and had some time to kill. Got some nice shots of an old beggar on the streets and gave him some coins for his trouble. But the camera was playing up, as you may remember, and the light was not good in the little doorway where he struggled to light his Rollie. (I hasten to add, more to do with the alcohol than the wind whistling about his ears!).

But as I turned the corner, I loved how the fading light lit up the building in the distance. I rushed to get the composition as right as I could in and around the obstacles, and failed to make any speed with focusing! Consequently, two young lasses walked straight into my line of vision. But I'd already pressed the shutter.

Waited ages for a gap where I could get the shot with no-one in it, but the lovely silver glow has all but disappeared. Then, I ended up preferring this one anyway.

See, you just never can tell in this game!
