The Founders Club

A beautiful sunny day in Southeast North Carolina.

This is the par 3 16th hole and is about 110 yards over water to the green. It's protected by a couple of bunkers and is more or less an island type location. That's my ball on the green. Miracles!

The Founders Club is one of the 4 golf courses located at St James, a community outside of Southport, NC. Normally a pricey play, Gina and I used our "First Tee" cards and played for only $25.00.

The community is both private and an incorporated town, something I cannot understand. How can a town receiving state funding for various services have a gate across the entrance? One of those weird North Carolina rules.
