Fallow Deer

The builder arrived this morning and continued to work on the windows as well as doing some painting. My husband usually does some of these things, but is currently not able to do so with his hand and wrist in plaster; he also fell down the last few steps of the staircase this morning!
 
Cadent the contractors for National Grid, who are moving the gas meter turned up as expected. However, they did not have the correct pipes so had to go away again. They had not been told about the French drain that runs along the front of the house, despite photographs being taken and discussions with their people. They are coming back tomorrow with the correct pipes.

A wet morning but then it brightened up. The parcel was collected on time and is now on its way to the recipient.

I had taken some pictures during the day, but then several Fallow deer arrived at dusk, these are just two of them. They had a faun with them, obviously one of this year’s babies. It kept running and jumping in the air, as lambs and kittens often do. It moved so fast I did not get a picture of it.
