Burnham Overy Staithe

Walked with my sister and her friend down to East Head watching a seal poping up and down at Bank Hole as the tide was coming in. Once we reached the sea I swam but couldn’t persuade the others in.

I thought leaving it late to drive home might make for a better run than the one down. Fine in theory but didn’t account for the night closure of the A66. I was cast into the darkness of the land of The Prince Bishops (aka Durham) at midnight to find my way through the unknown ...bit of a bummer with work and the drive to Kendal first thing in the morning.
