Late afternoon nap

My friend Lisa came round with her daughter Lucinda this morning, for a playdate with Ethan. The two kids get on really well together, although Ethan was still a bit narky this morning and wasn't too keen to share his toys. They still had fun though!

He was clearly tired afterwards though but said he didn't want a nap, so asked to lie on the sofa in his sleeping bag and watch Peppa Pig. I had hoped he would fall asleep whilst doing so but then Granny and Grandpa arrived, so there was no chance of him having a nap!

Ethan finally fell asleep in Grandpa's arms ..... at 4.50pm! Eeeek! As I was still making dinner we let him sleep .... he eventually had to be woken up at 6pm. I can already hear some of my friends tutting in horror at this haha!

I obviously didn't try to put him to bed at the usual time as a result of this late nap but he was in (his own) bed, fast asleep by 9pm which wasn't too bad. I was impressed he went to his own bed without a fuss as he has refused to sleep in it for the past week!
